The Click Five
In addition to the concert, MTV EXIT also announced the new appointment of Dr. Chea Samnang as the MTV EXIT Celebrity Ambassador in Cambodia, where Dr. Chea Samnang will host a new half-hour Khmer documentary film, Enslaved: An MTV EXIT Special. The documentary will give audiences a real and rare glimpse into human trafficking and exploitation in Cambodia, telling stories of human trafficking survivors and highlighting what everyone can do to help end this horrific crime. Enslaved: An MTV EXIT Special is currently in production and will premiere on Cambodia Television Network (CTN), Channel 21, in early 2012.
MTV EXIT is also hosting the first-ever MTV EXIT National Anti-Trafficking Youth Forum in Cambodia co-organized with World Vision Cambodia to empower and engage youth leaders from across Cambodia to spread key anti-trafficking messages. The Forum will bring together youth leaders ages 18 to 25 years old for a series of interactive workshops conducted by media professionals over 4 days, from 14 to 17 December 2011. The Forum will strengthen the youth leaders’ creative skills, while challenging them to produce a campaign plan to take the fight against human trafficking back to their local communities. These youth leaders will then run their planned series of engagement activities at MTV EXIT’s anti-trafficking promotional roadshows held in 6 provinces outside of Phnom Penh starting from the second quarter of 2012.
